I find it very encouraging that Republican US Senate candidate Scott Brown has tightened the race with his opponent Martha Coakley. As you're aware, this seat is VERY important. A great deal of political power pends on who wins this seat of the people, such as health care, the economy, and immigration to name a few.
I know we all agree that America is is need of health care reform. Though the current state of the bill the Senate and House has passed does not revise the issues to find efficiencies and expand/increase services. Scott Brown realizes this. He knows the current bill would raise taxes, increase government spending and lower the quality of care. You may find out more about Scott Brown at http://www.brownforussenate.com. Coakley, on the other hand, will simply be a Harry Reid sock puppet.
There are various polls that have Coakley up anywhere from 9 to 15 points and other polls have Brown within 2 points, which is within the 3 point variance. This is not surprising, but Coakley has a higher approval rating than Obama in MA. Fortunately, Obama is now speaking on behalf of Coakley... http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/01/14/obama-cuts-video-for-coakley-in-mass-senate-race/
Hopefully history will repeat itself and his influence and ideals will be rejected as witnessed in the recent gubernatorial elections in NJ and VA. The tightening of this race is evident of the people of this great nation is dissatisfied with the policies of the current administration. Scott Brown having a fighting chance in one of the bluest states of the country is very positive. Hold on because twenty ten is going to be a crazy year!
